Backhousia Citriodora
Lemon Scented Myrtle/Lemon Ironwood
An evergreen medium shrub or small, bushy tree with dark green, strongly lemon-scented leaves. New growth is often red. Profuse clusters of small creamy white flowers are produced at the end of the branches.
Very attractive specimen tree or shrub that provides good shade. Can be clipped to form a neat hedge. Flowers attract butterflies and other beneficial insects.
Grow in a sunny to partly shaded position in rich, moist, well drained soil. Prefers semi-shade in hot climates.
