Yucca Elephantipes not only makes a delightful modern pot and landscape specimen with it's strong architectural lines - but has many other useful qualities, which make it a must for every house and garden!
The Yucca is a perfect choice for any garden and is very suitable for our extreme conditions - tolerating hot, dry, and wet areas for the tropics. Just fertilise 2 - 3 times a year.
This plant produces its stunning white bell-shaped flower blooms on and off for short periods during the dry season once it is semi mature. The ancient Mayans prized this Yucca flower for it's powerful medicinal qualities. The flowers should be harvested and eaten as they open or just prior to opening. It can be used fresh, dried for making herbal tea, or added to your water jug with ice on a hot summer's day.
Plant some in your garden and reap the rewards for years to come. They are also guaranteed to be low-maintenance, and need very little care once planted in the ground.
