Boysenberries - Yes we grow here!
  • Large bramble berry that grows on a trailing vine.
  • Small clustered berries.
  • When fully ripe, they develop a deep maroon colour, though it is not uncommon for the berries to still have subtle hints of red.
  • Flavour is rich and complex, slightly sweeter than a blackberry with just a hint of acidity.
  • Boysenberries are a good source of vitamins A and C, iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and dietery fiber.
  • They are a rich source of anthocyanin, natural antioxidants which help to maintain healthy brain cells as well as protect against oxidative damage that leads to brain ageing as well as Alzheimer's disease.
